Dr. Pushpinder Kanda earned his undergraduate and Master’s degrees at McMaster University before completing his combined MD/PhD training at the University of Ottawa, where he developed expertise in both clinical medicine and translational research. He subsequently completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Ottawa, followed by fellowship training in glaucoma at Queen’s University.
Dr. Kanda specializes in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and cataracts. His clinical interests include advanced glaucoma surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, cataract surgery, and comprehensive ophthalmic care.
As an active clinician-scientist, Dr. Kanda has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. His research focuses on improving surgical outcomes in glaucoma, advancing our understanding of glaucoma pathophysiology, and developing innovative approaches to preserve vision.
