Dr. Adil Bhatti

Ophthalmologist - BSc MD FRCSC DABO

"I became an ophthalmologist to help people see better so they can feel better and that makes me happy."

Dr. Bhatti obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toronto.  Following medical school, Dr. Bhatti completed his residency training in Ophthalmology at the University of Ottawa Eye Institute where he served as Chief Resident and received the Department of Ophthalmology Teaching Award. After three years of practice, Dr. Bhatti decided to pursue his passion for treating diseases of the retina and completed the Queen’s University Retina Fellowship in July 2017-2018. He is a member of the Canadian Retina Society.

Dr. Adil Bhatti is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. Joined the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Ottawa Eye Institute in 2014, he has taken on the role as Medical Educator for the department and is involved in teaching both medical students and residents. Outside of teaching, his work has appeared in publications such as the Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology and the Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology.

Dr. Bhatti specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract surgery and medical retina.
