ADIL BHATTI | BSc MD FRCSC DABO


Dr. Adil Bhatti is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa.  In 2014, Dr. Bhatti joined the Department of Ophthalmology at The University of Ottawa Eye Institute.  He has taken on the role as Medical Educator for the department and is involved in teaching both medical students and residents. Dr. Bhatti specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract surgery and medical retina.  He graduated with a Bachelors of Science from the Kinesiology Co-operative program at the University of Waterloo on the Dean’s Honours List.  He then went on to obtain his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toronto.  Following medical school, Dr. Bhatti completed his residency training in Ophthalmology at the University of Ottawa Eye Institute where he served as Chief Resident and received the Department of Ophthalmology Teaching Award.  After three years of practice, Dr. Bhatti decided to pursue his passion for treating diseases of the retina and completed the Queen’s University Retina Fellowship in July 2017-2018. He is a member of the Canadian Retina Society.
